摘要
The hepatocellular carcinoma is a high prevalence cancer that represents 70% to 80% of primary liver tumors. Surgical resection is the first therapeutic option, but most appear on a chronic liver disease, usually in the cirrhotic phase, which limits its application only in very selected cases. In the Balearic Community, the reference center for patients affected by hepatocellular carcinoma is the University Hospital Son Espases. Therefore, we consider the analysis of our experience and determine overall survival, and disease-free survival in patients undergoing hepatic resection for hepatocarcinoma, and determine the prognostic factors that influence them. To this end, we performed a retrospective study with 68 patients and 55 variables from a database collected prospectively. The study began in May 2002 and finished in December 2015. The overall survival at 1, 3 and 5 years is 91.3%, 69.5% and 46.9% respectively, and disease-free survival decreases to 1, 3 and 5 years to 89.9%, 63.5% and 35.8%, respectively.Patients with tumors with capsule invasion and vascular invasion have a worse prognosis regarding survival and disease-free survival. Disease-free survival has only been negatively influenced by the presence of invasion of the tumor capsule.
