摘要
Abnormalities in resting-state electroencephalogram (EEG) activity and pain processing have been observed in depression and suicidal behavior. Frontal region asymmetry in resting-state alpha band activity has been associated with impaired brain functioning. Aberrations in resting-state EEG activity have been described in depressed patients; however, it is unclear how it compares to acutely suicidal patients. In this study, we aimed to examine the differences in frontal alpha asymmetry and psychological pain between acutely suicidal patients and non-suicidal depressed patients.
