摘要
In this study, the socio-economic variables of forage crop support producers that could affect the increase in forage production, were investigated. For this purpose, two geographical regions of the common fodder crop production in Turkey where two geographical regions have been selected. Data was collected through a questionnaire, by interviewing 980 forage crop producers, randomly selected from these regions. In the analysis production increase or no increase, are both considered as dependent variables of Demographic characteristics. Farm infrastructure characteristics and opinions about the importance of forage crop production were considered as independent variables. Age, livestock breeding status, contribution of forage crop production to soil improvement and the effect of certified seed use on production increase were statistically significant (P<0.05). As a result, it has been found that forage crop supports cause more production increase in Central Anatolia Region than in Eastern Anatolia Region. It was determined that the non-livestock producers were approximately 2.14 times higher in terms of the increase in forage crop production after the support compared to the forage crop producers. In addition, it was found out that the producers who do not engage in animal husbandry, also contribute to the formation of forage crop stock exchange, with the start of forage crop production.
