Seeing the Light Wave: On-Chip Sampling of Electric Fields with Attosecond Resolution

Light-matter interactions important to both sensing and energy conversion can unfold on attosecond to femtosecond timescales. We demonstrate that nanoantennabased optoelectronic detectors provide the sensitivity and resolution needed to reveal these dynamics.
