Background and Aims: Statins in addition to their hypolipidemic action possess anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities. The aim was to study the effect of atorvastatin and rosuvastatin on the differentiation, activation and apoptosis of macrophages (Mph) obtained from human blood monocytes.
