摘要
Magnetic spin effect (MSE) detected by in photoluminescence is used to explore the effect of conjugated-chain length and crystallinity of polymer films on conversion of the energy of electronically excited states in conjugated polymers like poly-p-phenylene and poly-p-phenylene vinylene. Spin-dependent processes related to geminate recombination of charges are studied. The role of the intermediate state with charge transfer between neighbouring polymer chains is ascertained. Relative positions of the energy levels of charge-transfer states are determined from the temperature dependence of MSE.
