摘要
Non-destructive testing is currently used to evaluate the state of damage of concrete structures. The growing interest shown by civil engineering companies for the techniques of sounding is a result of a current tendency to support the maintenance of existing structures and the prevention of degradation. In this context, diagnosis is necessary, on the one hand to plan repairs, and on the other hand to determine the damaged zones on each structure more precisely, thus limiting the cost of repairs. In this paper, the authors present a new means of diagnosing rebar corrosion based on a Ground Penetrating RADAR (GPR) technique. Highlighting some correlations between corrosion potential and RADAR measurements on bridge decks, they demonstrate the ability of GPR to provide assistance in the diagnosis of rebar corrosion, either by detecting potentially corroded areas or by evaluating the general state of corrosion of the deck.
