摘要
It is shown that the modernization of shaping machines by installing an additional pressing tool causes an increase in the resultant shaping forces and, as a consequence, an increase in the load on the supports of the pressure rolls and electric motor shafts. Bearing loads lead to elastic deformations on the contact surfaces between the rolling elements and the raceways. Shaft deformation caused by applied loads results in slight misalignment of the outer and inner rings. Due to the fatigue of the metal of the contacting surfaces of the raceways and rolling elements, flaky particles can separate from the material from which the bearing is made. This leads to a sharp decrease in the fatigue life of electric motor bearings. Therefore, the increase in load must be taken into account at the design stage of modernization techniques and, if necessary, a shorter service life of electric motors between technical inspections and overhauls must be contemplated. Such measures will contribute to improving the reliability and stability of the operation of electric motors.
