Incidence and outcomes of malignant ovarian germ cell tumors in Korea, 1999–2017

•This study is the first to analyze the epidemiology of MOGCTs in Korea.•Korean women in this study have an excellent prognosis for MOGCTs.•There was a slight increase in MOGCT prevalence, which was more pronounced among those aged <19 years.•In patients with MOGCT, the risk of developing a subsequent malignancy was doubled compared to the general population.
