摘要
We found that Tetrahymena thermophila RNAi mutants exhibit features of elevated DNA damage, including enlarged extranuclear DNA bodies, DNA repair gene expression, and DNA damage foci. This broadens the range of eukaryotes with recently identified RNAi roles in maintaining genome integrity, here through transposon- and centromere-independent mechanisms.
