Study on the Development for the Sample Retention of a Portable Micro-Detection System

One of the main issues in biomolecule absorption spectroscopy is minute, quantitative, rapid, and real-time detection. Ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrometry is a widespread analytical technique due to its inherent features, including simplicity, ease of operation, convenience, and low costs. In particular, technology to decrease the consumption of valuable and scarce samples has enabled the development of a new generation of miniaturized UV-Vis spectrometric systems and accessories. In this research, we studied the sample retention of a portable micro-detection system through experiments and simulation. Results demonstrate the feasibility of minute detection utilizing the biomolecule characteristics obtained from UV-Vis spectrophotometer analysis.
