摘要
The authors regret that, after acceptance of the article, we noticed the need to change the overall survival information. According to Brookmeyer &Crowley, 1982, the median survival is the smallest time at which the survival probability drops to 0.5 (50%) or below. If the survival curve does not drop to 0.5 or below then the median time cannot be computed. Thus, in the abstract and results, where it reads “HPD group showed higher overall survival than LPD group (HPD: 14.7 vs. LPD: 7.3 months, p = 0.04)”, read “HPD group showed higher overall survival than LPD group (HR 2.45, 95%CI:1.01–5.98, p = 0.04)”. Brookmeyer R, Crowley JA. A confidence interval for the median survival time. Biometrics 38:29–41, 1982. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. High protein diet improves the overall survival in older adults with advanced gastrointestinal cancerClinical NutritionVol. 40Issue 3PreviewHigh protein diet (HDP) promotes improvement of lean body mass in elderly without cancer; but the impact of high protein intake on muscle strength and mortality in cancer patients remains to be elucidated. This study evaluates the association between HPD on handgrip strength (HGS) and survival in older adults outpatients with advanced gastrointestinal cancer. Full-Text PDF
