母猪断奶的发情时间平均为断奶后7天,最早的2天,最迟的17天.母猪断奶后推迟发情或不发情,是指经产母猪在仔猪断奶后20天内不能正常自然发情,甚至超过30天还未出现发情征象,或母猪经久不再出现发情.初产母猪产完一胎后50％以上不能及时发情,尤其在饲养10～40头母猪的养殖户中表现更为突出,这是目前瘦肉型品种及其二元杂交后代中普遍存在的繁殖障碍问题.
