Spectroscopic properties of D -meson using screened potential

Detailed study of the masses of ground, orbitally and radially excited states of D -meson Qq̅ , (Q=c, q̅=u/d) in the framework of screened potential model with the Gaussian wave-function is done in the present article. 𝒪( 1/m) correction to the potential energy term and relativistic correction to the kinetic energy term 𝒪(p^10) is incorporated in the Hamiltonian. The spin-hyperfine, spin-orbit and tensor interactions incorporating the effect of mixing are employed to obtain the pseudoscalar, vector and radially and orbitally excited meson masses. The Regge trajectories in (J, M^2) and (n_r, M^2) planes are constructed, which help in associating some excited states observed in various experimental facilities to D -meson family. Various properties like mixing parameters, decay constant, leptonic decay widths and corresponding branching ratios, as well as electromagnetic transition widths are also calculated.
