Research on Thermal Behavior of HTS Cable in Fault and Recovery

Temperature is an essential indicator of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) cables, which is related to the safe and stable operation of the cable. Breaking and reclosing were the key operation affecting the thermal behavior of HTS cable in the power system. This paper focuses on the thermal behavior of HTS cable in different faults and recovery. The model of HTS cable was built by MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation was done to shows the temperature of HTS cable in different operations.
