A Rare Case: Pulmonary Xanthoma
Kafkas tıp dergisi(2020)
摘要
Pulmonary xanthoma is a benign lesion that may be associated with hyperlipidemia due to lipid metabolism disorders.A 31-yearold male who had no known co-morbidities was admitted to the hospital with an intractable cough.Chest computed tomography (CT) revealed a relatively homogenous mass lesion with a diameter of 38 mm localized in the left upper lobe.Videothoracoscopic resection of the lesion was performed, and detailed pathological analyses were conclusive for pulmonary xanthoma. The patient was found to have hepatosteatosis and hyperlipidemia. No complications were reported, and the patient had no complaints for 12 months.
