Study on simulation of X-waves

X-wave is a kind of ultrasonic beam and has a property of limited diffracting. Unlike Bessel beams, X-wave is pulse wave. In practice, finite aperture is used and the X-wave can travel for a certain distance without spreading. This property is very important and useful in ultrasonic echo imaging system, which can produce high quality image and lower complex of the system possibility. In this paper, we simulate the x wave by using finite transducer and find out some important property of X-wave. The simulation method is effective, which is fast and accurate.
