Rare Records of Mature Sea Lamprey, Petronzyzon Marinus Linnaeus, 1758 During Migration in the River Neretva (croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Two specimens of rare Sea lamprey (Petromyzon marinas) were found entering the lower River Neretva in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in mid 2017. One was an adult female with ripe eggs, being the first mature female individual caught in the Eastern Adriatic Sea. This finding could indicate potential spawning activity and is remarkable especially in comparison with other records of this species from the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea.
