Catalytic hydrogenation of anthracene in ethanol medium

The article presents the results of the hydrogenation of anthrcene in ethanol medium. As a catalyst nanocatalytic agents used were iron and nickel, which were introduced in microspheres of coal. The benchmark of catalyst used was highly dispersed iron hydroxide - getit beta-FeOOH. Experiments were conducted in high pressure reactor. The degree of conversion was estimated by residual anthracene. A small catalytic effect is observed with the introduction of 1,5 nanoparticles of iron.
