Abstract
COVID-19, caused by SARS-CoV-2, has been reported worldwide (World Health Organization, 2020). To date, the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection is dependent on detecting the nucleic acid of SARS-CoV-2 by qRT-PCR or by next-generation sequencing (NGS) (China National Health Commission, 2020). In clinical practice, some highly suspected cases had negative results for the nucleic acid of SARS-CoV-2 (Li et al., 2020). In the present study, we evaluated whether detecting antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 could be used as a diagnostic marker for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
