摘要

•We construct a photochromic molecular electrical switch using the graphene electrodes.•The electron transport calculations are performed through this molecular junction by using the first-principles method.•It is found that the device possesses negative differential resistance effect and stable electrical switch behavior, which is in agreement with a recent experimental study.
