Modeling of near field illumination of a body of revolution for RCS V/UHF measurements

The CEA is equipped with an indoor Radar Cross Section RCS measurement facility, named CAMELIA. In the V/UHF band, the illumination is operated by a phased array antenna and even if the dimensions of the chamber are large (45mx13mx12m), the RCS target should be considered in the near field. This paper describes a numerical technique to take into account the near field illumination without meshing the measurement antenna.
