摘要
Background: Hypertension is not a sole comorbidity contributing to the Length of Stay (LOS) of hypertensive heart failure inpatients at Saiful Anwar Hospital. Objective: The aim of this study to examine the correlation of multimorbidity with LOS for Hypertensive Heart Failure Patients. Method: The retrospective analysis was conducted in the patients with Hypertensive Heart Failure hospitalized including 344 patients between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2018 at Saiful Anwar Hospital. Data were collected based on patient demographic, medical history, laboratory findings, chest X-ray and LOS. The correlation between multimorbidity and LOS were examined using Spearman. Result: Hypertension was noted among 58,9% heart failure patients, consist of 9% hypertensive emergency, 61% hypertensive, and 30% controlled hypertensive. The overall mean LOS was 6,4 days. It was longest 29 days and shortest in 2 days. Duration of stay of patients with CKD, liver function test abnormality, pneumonia, pleural effusion, leukocytosis and COPD were statistically significantly longer (p value .044, .047, .003, .000, .018, .000, respectively) when compared with others. We observed that hypertension related the other morbidities. They were hypertension related with CKD and leukocytosis (p value .004, .000, respectively). Conclusion: CKD, pneumonia, pleural effusion, leukocytosis, and PPOK were significant correlation with LOS among Hypertensive Heart Failure inpatients at Saiful Anwar Hospital.
