Tu1123 ENDOSCOPIC SUBMUCOSAL DISSECTION (ESD) IN DIFFICULT COLORECTAL LOCATIONS: THE ANO-RECTAL JUNCTION, ILEOCECAL VALVE, AND CECUM

Endoscopic resection difficulty of superficial colorectal neoplasms at the perineal rectum is related to the narrowness of the anal canal and high intraoperative bleeding related to the internal rectal plexus. Similarly, resection at the ileocecal valve (ICV) is difficult due to variable bowel wall planes and the possible extension into the terminal ileum. These two locations reduce the feasibility to achieve a complete curative resection. Aim was to assess ESD outcomes of neoplasms at the perineal rectum and ICV.
