Ore fluid, geochronology and tectonic setting of mesothermal gold metallogeny in southeastern Jilin Province, Northeast China: A case study of the Shajingou gold deposit

•The Shajingou is a newly-discovered gold deposit formed in the Middle Jurassic.•Shajingou and JHGB gold deposits are mesothermal hydrothermal lode deposit.•Gold mineralization was related to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate.•The areas near the Fuerhe–Gudonghe Fault are prospective for gold.
