Effect of metal ions adsorption on the efficiency of methylene blue degradation onto MgFe2O4 as Fenton-like catalysts

摘要
•High level of efficiency of MgFe2O4 Fenton-like catalyst under visible light was shown.•The effect of transition metals sorption on catalytic activity was studied.•For all catalyst’s mineralization of MB up to 98% in 30 min was achieved.•MgFe2O4 fully retained the initial activity after 4 cycles of MB degradation.•A catalytic mechanism in metal-loaded MgFe2O4/H2O2 systems was proposed.
