Abstract
•The evolution of PMA in Ta/MgO/CoFeB/W/CoFeB/MgO/Ta annealed for different temperature is reported.•The composition-structure-property relationships in Ta/MgO/CoFeB/W/CoFeB/MgO/Ta is studied.•The oxygen released by WOx and MgO combined with Fe and Co, thereby more Fe or Co oxides were formed.
