Hepatitis C Virus Infection Does Not Impact Survival Following Continuous-Flow Left Ventricular Assist Device Implantation
The journal of heart and lung transplantation/The Journal of heart and lung transplantation(2017)
Abstract
The impact of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection on outcomes following continuous-flow left ventricular assist device (CF-LVAD) implantation is unknown. We characterized the prevalence of HCV infection in the Interagency Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory Support (INTERMACS), as well the association of HCV infection with long-term post-LVAD survival.
