A new adaptive boosting total generalized variation (TGV) technique for image denoising and inpainting.

•We present a new boosting technique for TGV based image denoising and inpainting.•The proposed technique first takes average of restored image with observed image.•It then operates the TGV algorithm with the average as input with dynamic parameter.•Algorithm is discussed on effect of parameters and compared with several methods.
