Abstract
Recently, the low utilization of spectrum has become a serious problem for the next generation of the high-speed wireless communication. A general framework named spectrally modulated, spectrally encoded (SMSE) has been proposed to solve this problem. But it cannot generate the waveform which is suitable for multi-antenna systems. Therefore, in this paper, we impose spatial information into SMSE framework by using tensor algebra to introduce a novel model named tensor modulated, tensor encoded (TMTE). Compared with the SMSE model, it can generate multi-antenna waveforms for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems. By using numerical experiments, the results demonstrate that TMTE framework can generate various types of multi-carrier and multi-antenna modulated waveforms, and the bit error rate (BER) performance meets the theoretical results.
