Abstract
This pilot RCT tested the Vermont Family-Based Approach (VFBA) in a primary care pediatric clinic. The VFBA is an innovative population health approach that focuses on the entire family, recognizes the central role of emotional and behavioral health in child development, uses evidence-based health promotion in addition to treatment, and intervenes early in children’s lives. The RCT tested the following: 1) the feasibility of the VFBA in a primary care pediatric setting; and 2) its effects on family health.
