摘要
Discovered in 2006, a collective burial, located at 200 m, north of the site Collet-Redon, in la Couronne, was excavated during two campaigns in 2014 and 2015. Located in the small valley called “the Chappats”, the tomb is installed in a pit with architectural features. Two sepulchral levels were identified. The first, probably composed of primary deposits, was partially removed. The second is consisted of an articulated individual and many commingled remains close to one of the wall. At least, 11 subjects (adults and immatures) are necessary to explain the composition of the osteological series. Only 7 beads made in limestone were associated with the human remains. Four radiocarbon dates are situated in the Recent Neolithic or at the very beginning of the Late Neolithic, before the widespread of collective burials in Provence. The chronological situation of the tomb, its location, the originality of its architectural feature and the use pattern are discussed taking into account the actual knowledge on funerary practices in the south of France at the end of Neolithic.
