The concept of solar cooking system is based on collecting the concentrated solar radiation and transporting them through aluminum absorber. These day many type of solar cooker are available, but due to some limitation like difficult handling requirement of more time for cooking, large weight etc, they are not used in wide range. Hence to overcome these limitation, we developing solar cooker with parabolic reflector. This application carry huge potential in term of energy saving and energy generation which makes this area as one of the fastest emerging area with immediate technological implications. This paper is intended to present different optimization consideration in designing parabolic solar cooker. We are presenting detailed mathematical analysis, beside we discuss the different thermal and optical losses, and how it will directly effecting on the heating time of system. High quality, low cost energy service to all of us effective research in pursuit of goal should yield substantial reduction in energy consumption and associated greenhouse and other harmful pollutants and increase life cycle / reliability of energy sources. Additionally cost effective integration of the renewable sources should explore in near future. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
