Regional Pharyngeal Motility Functions are Distinct in Successful Oral-Fed Neonates

Scarce secondary peristalsis was observed at 0.05ml/s infusion for both young and elderly.Conclusions: In the elderly, while the UES pressure response to slow infusion is preserved, its response to ultra-slow simulated reflux is deteriorated compared to young.In both young and elderly, UES pressure response to acid and saline infusions are similar.
