The Nuclear Orphan Receptors NR4A as Therapeutic Target in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Pulmonary hypertension is a progressive disease characterized by vascular remodeling, which leads to obliteration of the small pulmonary arteriole. A role of dysregulated NR4A receptors as a pathogenic mechanism has received little attention. We aimed to assess whether NR4A receptors played a causal role in experimental pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
