Stability Of Cdte Solar Cells With Various Back Contact Methods

摘要
CdTe solar cells fabricated with five different back contacts were studied by means of electrical characterization. A thin layer of evaporated Te was incorporated in many of the devices as part of the back contact. The stability of the devices in storage was examined. Additionally, select devices were exposed to elevated temperature and illumination to induce accelerated aging. J-V, QE, and C-V measurements were used to compare the performance of the devices. The Te-containing contacts were found to be stable and well-performing.
