•Our study proves that calcium phosphate (Ca-P) biomaterial has good osteoinductivity.•Our study indicates TRPV1−/− can reduce algesia and enhance the athletic ability in mice.•Our study suggests patients with bone defects can promote healing through appropriate exercise.
