Reducing the underreporting of percutaneous exposure incidents: A single-center experience.

•Underreporting of needlestick injuries is common among exposed health care workers.•A simple but intensified reporting system led to a significant increase in reporting of needlestick injuries.•Increase in reporting needlestick injury is >50% among doctors and nurses.•Continuous education is elementary to maintain and improve awareness.
