Optimal nutrition of children with congenital heart disease (CHD) is considered to be associated with improved cardiovascular outcomes. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement has been increasingly recognized as a relatively non-invasive means of establishing enteral tube feeds in this high risk population.
