Charge State Distribution of Kr-86 in Hydrogen and Helium Gas Charge Strippers at 2.7 Mev/Nucleon
Physical Review Special Topics-accelerators and Beams(2014)
Abstract
The charge state distributions of krypton (Kr-86) with an energy of 2.7 MeV/nucleon were measured using hydrogen (H-2) and helium (He) gas charge strippers. A differential pumping system was constructed to confine H-2 and He gases to a thickness sufficient for the charge state distributions to attain equilibrium. The mean charge states of Kr-86 in H-2 and He gases attained equilibrium at 25.1 and 23.2, respectively, whereas the mean charge state in N-2 gas at equilibrium was estimated to be less than 20. The charge distributions are successfully reproduced by the cross sections of ionization and electron capture processes optimized by a fitting procedure.

- Pretraining has recently greatly promoted the development of natural language processing (NLP)
- We show that M6 outperforms the baselines in multimodal downstream tasks, and the large M6 with 10 parameters can reach a better performance
- We propose a method called M6 that is able to process information of multiple modalities and perform both single-modal and cross-modal understanding and generation
- The model is scaled to large model with 10 billion parameters with sophisticated deployment, and the 10 -parameter M6-large is the largest pretrained model in Chinese
- Experimental results show that our proposed M6 outperforms the baseline in a number of downstream tasks concerning both single modality and multiple modalities We will continue the pretraining of extremely large models by increasing data to explore the limit of its performance
