Studies Of The Reaction Pi-P-]Eta'Pi-0n At 38 And 100 Gev/C

The production of eta' pi-0 system in pi- p charge-exchange interactions at pi- momenta 38 GeV/c and 100 GeV/c has been studied. The 2-gamma and eta-pi-0-pi-0 decay modes of eta' leading to 4-gamma and 8-gamma final states respectively have been detected. No statistically significant peak is observed in the eta' pi-0 mass spectrum in the range of 1.2 GeV divided-by 2.1 GeV. An upper limit of 6 . 10(-3) has been established for the a2(0)(1320) --> eta' pi-0 branching ratio.
