Crohn's Disease and Early Isolated Oral Presentation
Digestive and Liver Disease/Digestive and liver disease(2015)
摘要
Introduction: Isolated Crohn's disease (CD) of the upper gastrointestinal tract and especially oral Crohn disease (OCD) are uncommon presentations. Granulomas in oral biopsies in a CD patient need to be differentiated from other granulomatous oral disorders and are often indistinguishable from lesions seen in orofacial granulomatosis (OFG). Patient 1: A 10 year-old girl presented with a 7 months history of abdominal pain, diarrhea and weight loss. At the age of 8 years she had been surgically treated for a submandibular lymphadenitis and dental fistula, with evidence of granulomatous chronic inflammation in the soft tissues at the histological report.
