K Isomer in [sup 252]No

In this paper we discuss the discovery of an isomeric state in No-252 and a recent experiment studying the rotational band built upon this isomeric state. Results from the later experiment help to assign the structure of the isomer on the basis of purely experimental data, and to disentangle between different theoretical interpretations. Comparison with similar states in Fm-250 and No-254 provides important information and helps the development of self-consistent theories.
