Semi-solid processing of steel-Al-28Pb bonding plate

Mushy Al 28Pb was bonded to steel plate in a semisolid rolling casting study to solve the problem of interfacial embrittlement of steel Al 28Pb bonding plate. The interfacial structure was changed which eliminated the interfacial embrittlement with this practical processing technology for steel mushy Al 28Pb bonding plate. The results show that at a steel plate preheat temperature of 545 ℃, a rolling casting speed of 10 mm/s and a solid fraction of 35.6%, the interface is made of the correct Fe Al compound alternating with the solid solution which eliminated the interfacial embrittlement and gave a maximum interfacial shear strength of 70.2 MPa.
