The Use of ‘smart’ Textiles for Wound Care

Some recently developed 'intelligent' or advanced dressings, are reviewed and their mechanisms are detailed. Applications including the use of sensors, temperature control and non-contact dressings are described. The potential of such smart textiles in the treatment of particular wounds is explored.
