摘要

Abstract The storage space requirements of computer-based medical records are important to the prospective user. In this study, two COSTAR databases were examined to determine medical practice characteristics which are useful in the estimation of COSTAR record sizes. Important size determinants include the intended use of the computer-stored record with respect to the paper record (supplement vs. replace), and the age of the patient population.
