Особенности адаптации к низким температурам тетеревиных и врановых птиц Якутии

The authors give the data on body temperature of two kinds of grouses (Tetraonidae) grouse Lyrurus tetrix (Linnaeus, 1758) and grouse Tetrao parvirostris Bonaparte (1856) and raven (Corvus corax Linnaeus, 1758) during the annual cycle in the natural thermal background of the Central Yakutia. Saving energy by grouses in periods of low ambient temperature is reached by seasonal decline in body temperature, diurnal surface hypothermia and the ability to vary the temperature of shell of the body during periods of low environmental temperature. The relatively high level of metabolism enables raven to maintain relatively high body temperature even in periods of low annual temperatures and during the nights.
