Analysis of the glass–crystal transformation kinetics by means of the theoretical method developed (TMD) under both non-isothermal and isothermal regimes. Application to the crystallization of the Ag 0.16 As 0.34 Se 0.50 glassy alloy
Journal of Alloys and Compounds(2015)
Abstract
•Crystallization under non-isothermal and isothermal conditions by the theoretical method developed (TMD).•The transformation of Ag0.16As0.34Se0.50 glassy alloy shows an exothermic peak.•The thermal process is “site saturation”.•Different mechanisms of growth and impingement operate in the regimes considered.•The experimental and theoretical curves show a large agreement in both regimes.
