Impacts on human health in the Arctic owing to climate-induced changes in contaminant cycling - The EU ArcRisk project policy outcome

•We provide information on climate change impacts, contaminants, and their effects in the Arctic.•Climate change may either decrease or increase these effects.•Model simulations project only modest changes to contaminant levels in air, soils and water•Models and databases can be used to compare climate change impacts in the Arctic and in Europe.•ArcRisk results can be used to improve current regulations and possibly define new legislation.
