A blind RAKE receiver for CDMA communication systems

The article proposes a blind RAKE receiver to suppress multiple access interference for code division multiple access (CDMA) communication systems. The proposed blind RAKE receiver adopts a blind constrained cascaded structure for each arm to extract part of the desired signal and coherently combines the output of all arms to provide an accurate detection of the desired signal. The weight vector introduced for interference cancellation in each module of the cascaded structure is determined based on the maximum magnitude cross correlation criteria. The performance of the proposed receiver has been shown to be comparable to that of the optimum method by theoretical analysis and computer simulation. 1548-7741/Copyright © 2011 Binary Information Press December 2011.
